Community Event: Fourth of July Parade in Mendham

By Turpin Real Estate - July 01, 2017

If you’re looking for an old fashioned Independence Day celebration, don’t miss the Mendham Fourth of July parade. Celebrating its 89th anniversary in 2017, the parade will Honor “Musicians of New Jersey.” This year’s Grand Marshall will be Ralston Engine Company for their  75th Anniversary  in Mendham Township.  The Community Service Award  recipients are  Terri and George McKinnell in gratitude for all their years of service to the First Aid Squad and Brookside Engine Co #1.

Bring your chairs and line up early on Main Street in the Brookside section of Mendham since the Parade kicks off at 9am. Breakfast will be served  before and during parade. Expect to see parade floats, scout troops, sports teams, local dignitaries and plenty of firetrucks. Past years have included bagpipers, clowns, decorated dogs and an occasional farm animal or two. Often called the “best little hometown parade,” it is a genuine slice of Americana on Independence Day and a seasonal highlight on area calendars.

This popular celebration will be followed by kids’ games, beverages,  pony rides, a bounce house and face painting. Additionally, a live band will be playing at the Brookside Community Club. More Information on the event can be found here

Brookside’s annual July 4th parade sets Mendham Township apart as a community-oriented place its residents are proud to call home. If you’re interested in Mendham luxury homes for sale, luxury homes in Brookside or luxury real estate in Morris County, contact Turpin at 877-788-7746.
